Love the Body you are in! 3 Ways that we can Love our Bodies Now.

Hello, my dear reader!

Welcome back to the Step into a New Day Life Coaching blog. This blog is my heart pouring out to you, as well as, something practical that I hope you can apply to your own life.

I love writing with a candle burning and right now, I am enjoying White Magnolia from Homegoods! It is soy-based and it smells delightful!

I have been on a journey my dear one! A health journey. Maybe you can relate? Ever since my brother passed away back in October of 2023, I have been trying to heal, grieve, process, and take care of my soul.

You see my dear reader, the passing of my brother unexpectedly was soul-crushing.

Getting the call at the gym and rushing over to see my brother's body was a FAST and frantic experience.

His passing was TRAGIC and fast.

The decisions that we had to make were FAST.

It. was. all. FAST!

Fast, my dear one. Fast!

I am living with the heartbreak and residual effects of all of this FASTNESS!

Can you relate? Is there something in your life that happened so fast that you had a hard time getting a handle on it?

Well, my dear reader, the reality is that everything went so fast 8 months ago and my body is trying to catch up! The physical, mental, and emotional stress has brought me to this journey of healing my physical body and I am trying to be patient to heal just like this beautiful dove laying eggs outside my window.

Patience.

Patience.

Patience.

This happens to be what we need most when we are trying to recalibrate.

So what is up with me you might ask my dear reader? I think of you as a friend and so as a friend I share with you that I have been experiencing what I call a REBOOT in my 40's to make sure that all is working well and that my body is ok.

I am sure my dear reader, due to the tragic death of my brother, I want to make sure that I am not leaving this earth too soon as well.

Therefore, I have had my skin screened for cancer,

I have had my heart checked for calcium deposits,

I have had my abdomen CT scanned for appendix and or other organ problems,

All have been checking out well.

However, the main symptom of all of this fastness is in my stomach. I have had pain and loose stools ever since my brother passed, (TMI) but you are my friend, right? LOL!

I believe this is where I hold my stress about EVERYTHING, especially with my brother's passing.

My stomach is the zone.

My stomach is the area.

My stomach is the place that I would like to come back into balance.

So, my dear reader, I had a colonoscopy and an upper endoscopy recently done at the ripe old age of 43 years.

I was scared.

I was frightened.

I did not enjoy the prep. Talk about making a hard situation worse.

But I did it as the final cap of my investigation to make sure that I was not dying myself.

My dear reader, I am glad that I had this done. Everything checked out well aside from being diagnosed with collagenous microscopic colitis. This is inflammation of the colon. This can come and go. Right now it has come. I am working with my gastro as well as my naturopathic doctor to make it right again to lessen the FASTNESS.

However, I will have to be patient. This is not an overnight fix and it will take some time.

AHHHHHHHHHH....... Time.........

Time, my dear reader.

I have time to love the body I am in right now. Can you relate?

Sometimes we do not have a quick fix. We have to go through it!

Yes, I have to go through it. You have to go through it! We have to go through it!

However, in the meantime, we can love the body we are in!

We have this one amazing body here on Earth. This body does so much for us. It can heal on its own, it can go through major stress. It can carry us through the hardest of times.

BUT.......

If you are like me at all. You want your body to work the very best it can and be "PERFECT."

Is this realistic?

I think not.

On this side of heaven we will never be perfect nor will our bodies. But what can we do to love the body we are in right now despite the circumstances that we are in?

HUH?

Let's think about this for a moment.

Breathe in and breathe out..............

3 Ways that we can Love our Body Now!

1.) Let's change our mindset. If our mind is used to automatically critizing ourselves and not accepting ourselves until we are perfect we can use this mantra to remind ourselves to love the body we have now. We can say, " I love my body now, I love my body now." Become aware of when you are harming your body with your thoughts and remind yourself to love your body now.

2.) Lean on hope. We are allowed to go into the darkness of our mind or we can focus on the light of our mind. This light in our mind represents hope, Jesus, Father God, the Holy Spirit, and Divine possibility! The hope that we choose to believe in daily can assure us that good is ahead. No matter what is taking place, or how life is working or not working for you, you have the choice to choose hope! You are allowed to believe in all the good that will come after you go through the trial that you are in. What a gift!! Focus on the light!

3.) Stay active! Our bodies or minds might be betraying us according to our minds, but we still need to do the things that we normally do. We need to do them with vigor, gratitude, and excitement. The situation that we are in is only temporary. However, the people, places, and relationships still need us to interact. We still need to live and enjoy life while we are waiting for our symptoms/body to get better or change.

4.) BONUS- We are more than our bodies! In this life my dear one, we are more than what is happening to us or for us. We use our bodies to experience this physical world. We are lucky to be able to do so. Some are not so lucky. Some are not here on earth to do so and some are here on earth but cannot use their bodies. We are lucky to be here to use the body it is that we have! There is a deeper part of you that exists and can transcend the chatter and criticism of the mind that is criticizing your body. You can transcend that and lead from Spirit to experience the beautiful world that we live in!

AHHHH YES!

This feels better!

Let's transcend the criticism of our minds and lean into the leading of the Holy Spirit together! That feels so much better! I will try if you will try! Let's love the body we are in in this moment and believe in the goodness that is ahead! This is a practice that I like to do my dear reader. I highly recommend believing in the better for yourself too! It will happen. You will get better. Your circumstances will change.

Keep believing!

Keep Hoping!

Keep loving who you are right now. Please don't love yourself only when you get to a certain place! Let's do this now!

AMEN!
